Christmas is approaching fast, signaling the end of 2016. What a ride it has been. I have no words to describe how appreciative I am for the support you have shown. From all of us here at BilletSPIN, thank you. You have made this year truly amazing and I fell so blessed.
As a small token of our gratitude, we are making 100 Christmas Tops to giveaway here in the group. As you know, I am a man of faith. I wanted to engrave these tops but it did not fit on this design so instead every top will come with a Precious Promise Bible that has a few encouraging verses in it. I know not all share my beliefs and that is ok 🙂 I just want to share something with you that has so much meaning to me. If you are not interested, I understand and then I just want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
If you would like to enter the giveaway, just reply with your favorite top design from 2016. One entry per person. We will figure out a way to pick the winners and let you know. We will keep this open for a few days.
1/8″ carbide bearing ball
one piece Stainless Steel
In closing, if any of you are struggling. Having a bad day or going through a difficult time and need someone to talk to, I am here. I care about all of you. Please don’t be afraid to message me. I am a good listener and have had my share of hard times.
Thank you all again, I look forward to getting to know you all more. I hope you have an amazing rest of your year.
timing the first spin of the Christmas top. 24 grams, what is your guess for spin time?
Just a closer look
“The Wraith” WIP – Day One:
Rich is working on my stem today (giggity) and here’s what it looks like. The rods you see in there will have cutaway windows to reveal tritium tubes. Amazing… and this is only the stem!!!!
Rich predicts it will take a full week to make this one top.

Well now that the last top for the year is done I would like to address the group.
What a ride this has been! I started in March of this year and cannot believe how amazing this year has been. It has been great getting to know most of you. To date I have not had a single problem getting paid even though people got their tops before paying. I have seen some amazing things. People buying others tops and donating and raising money for people in need. I want to thank you for keeping the group clean where my kids can come and enjoy it. I look forward to next year and all that it will bring.
Now a lot of you know I am a man of faith and Christmas is a time that me and my family celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. I am not here to push my beliefs on you but I am just a message away if you want to talk about it. This year I made tops for the kids in our AWANA program at church. I made extra on purpose. I have 25 of these to giveaway. I know these are not for everyone but if you are interested just reply with Merry Christmas and I will random number generator the winners this coming Friday.
I will be on vacation from Christmas Day until late January so I will not be on as much.
Thank you once again for the amazing year. You are an amazing group of people and I am honored to be a part of it 😀
Merry Christmas all!!

The 96!!! This is probably the nicest gift I’ve revived..
Titanium and tungsten, this is the marvelous 18 minute top! From the button of my heart, thank you rich!
Second spin! Rich Stadler‘s 96 top!
Time to break 20 minutes 😉
Who would have thought it would happen like this.
Rich, truly love it. Not only have you offered something different you’ve become a good friend.
My lenses hate you for this BTW…. They’ve been suffering since I opened the pkg!
“The Nine Six’d”
Thanks Rich. Snapped a quick pic. Will have more later. The NinetySIX top.
Talk about a mail call! I am always blown away by the craftsmanship of these tops. Thanks Rich!
Mail call for the 96 and the dual bearing SS. Just enjoying a little time with big papa. Very cool Rich! Thanks!
Well I will burst the bubble here about the 96 since the 12 are too kind to. It is a wobbler. Some worse than others but this was a first for me working with these materials. They spin a LONG time but they do wobble. I posted a question a few weeks ago to find out who owned 10 or more of my tops. 12 responded and I made this top for them. I have no more and will not make anymore. I would rather not ever look at tungsten again but I am sure I will down the road 😛
Now the real question, can one of use make one that can break 25 with a standard spin?
Starting the first project now. This will be a one off. I have never seen anything done like it before. I have no idea if there will even be any interest in it but I have been wanting to make something like this for a while now. I am hoping to have it done in about 5 hours. I will then post it as my first auction to see if there is any interest. If there is, I will make more of this type of thing in the future. Time to go play, wish me luck!!
It just finished the machining I was worried about so I can tell you what it is…
One and one only HUGE top. 4.75″ diameter to scale. This means it will weigh several pounds and be strictly a display or novelty item. I will also make a cool stand for it. Stainless and brass for top and stand. It will be around 4″ long.
Does it look big?
How about now?

I have an idea I am toying with. I need to know how many of you own 10 or more of my tops. I don’t need a pic, just reply. If you have more than ten (counting ones that are on the way being shipped) reply with how many you have! Thanks!!!
Mike Gallwey– 27
Aaron Jordan– 23
Goh Woon Keat-11
Kris Bex- 10+
Yes, include the kickstarter tops. Let me know exactly how many you all. I am feeling generous today 😀
I am thinking it is Kris Bex, Quoc T Ho, Mike Gallwey and Aaron Jordan for the top four. I bet Holly is up there too.
So it is between Mike Gallwey and Quoc T Ho as to who has the most!
The plan is already underway. It will be made public in the next few weeks 😀
The top I am donating to our youth group at church. Still needs etching. We will do that this week!
AWANA handles kids from 3 years old up to 6th grade. I work in the Sparkies which is kindergarten thru 2nd grade. These will be given to all the AWANA kids if they can pass 6 sections. I am not sure what the future plans are for them. I will see how the kids like them first
Love getting the kids involved!
Got the etching started. Needs a small tweak but I like it!
